SPORTS 150 SEES SUNLIT SYCAMORES
Today's walk features the watch of Mrs. C -- it's part of a pair (mine's broken) and since I collected them, I consider her watches part of my collection. She just beats them up a bit ... :-( We headed east today along the river, up above the old Mission (or Padre) Dam to Kumeyaay Lake. We got there before the sun came up over the horizon. It was mighty cold by our standards. The lake was still and littered with ducks. This is looking downriver, towards the west. We crossed at the ford and got partially around to the other lobe of the lake. This is looking northeast, towards the 3 graceful radio spires. A closer look. This is looking directly north, at another segment of the lake. Sun rise was supposed to happen at 6:48. It didn't. We walked around the north side of the lake towards the west end. It was nicer at this end; the light is increasing as we circled the water. A rather undignified way of getting one's breakfast. Not easy being a duck! Water leaving the lak...
